The Skinny

Fishing is Good to great! Flows are up and so are the rainbow trout which are in full spawn mode.  Keep that in mind while wading around , and fishing. There are plenty of fish in the runs and holes.  The midge hatches are great right now and the bite has been quite good.  The water is warming up and the fish are getting hot!   Scuds and worms have also been working great.  The Mile will continue to fish great through out the spring.  Soon the suckers will start moving in and will make for some more incredible opportunities at some huge lake run trout.

Bugs to float: midges

Bugs to pull:   Thin Mints, Rusty trombones, goldee

Bugs to drift:  Midges (zebra, mayhems, ju ju)  annelids( rock and san juan worms) Caddis( soft hackles, graphic caddis, prince nymphs)eggs (mottled and glo)
